They genuinely do not care about their employees the bigger head is God fearing but has no idea that the people below him are terrible

I like the work community and the opportunities to grow in the field. The coworkers are very supportive and the workspace is modern and comfortable.
Challenges are sometimes in claiming compensation for certain tasks and setting boundaries for what is within and outside of job scope.

My team
Everything. Major shifts happening and no communication. Workload is heavy and the work done is under appreciated. No room for growth. No negotiations for a raise. Management is condescending.
If there is no other option, take the job, learn what you can and get out.

1. exposure to global maritime and logistics development 2. Salaries are paid on time
1. Working within limited resource constraints 2. Limited mindset for growth 3. Eroding staff morale
If you are ok with limited growth, stable salaries and subpar working environments it will be ok for you.

The social connections I had amongst my coworkers were great. I also had access to two gyms and the type of work I did made me very competitive in the market when I left wisynco because not many people in Jamaica had the knowledge that I had.
"management" was genuinely incompetent. Everybody knows and everyone says it, but nobody can do anything about it due to politics. They're also narcissistic and sociopathic. Genuinely evil people. They try their best to sabotage anyone who's doing well.
Learn as much as you can and leave asap. This is not a place to build a long term career. The pay is ridiculous and there are people here who will go out of their way to stop you from growing in your career. These managers will hold back themselves just to see you fail. That's how psychotic they are and when I say "these managers" I'm really only referring to 3 people, but they're very powerful. But it's a great place to learn engineering and maintenance. Treat it like a school and not a job.

Everything was a problem. No structure, no benefits and management is overall poor.
This is not a job it’s slavery, no room for mistake even though you aren’t adequately trained. Survival mode always needed to endure working here.
Never accept an offer here, unless need experience to move on quickly to do something better.

Amazing opportunity for personal and professional growth. The company is serious about education in both aspects with support financially and in multiple other ways. The compensation and benefits far outweigh the workload personally and is possibly the biggest reason most people stay with the institution for long. If you are afraid of putting in work. This place is not for you. You have to get ahead of the work and ask for help from management before it becomes consumes you.
As a young person just entering the professional field the workload and pace of work turn around was fast, heavy and unexpected. As you move along you find and grasp processes easier, learn to ask for help and also learn that the workload depends on the location that you are at.
Use every opportunity to learn. The institution offers so much value to young professionals. Do not dilly and expect hand outs

I enjoyed my time here. The team I was a part of made the work fun. I liked the consistent company lymes or giveaways it gave you something to look forward to other than your salary. I liked that their standard vacation period was 15 days, that was a first for me.
The processes and changes to processes were not always communicated clearly leading toward errors. Department direction was not always clear with these changed.
You could thrive here as long as you do your work and stay out of politics. Ensure there's visibility on the things you do to the people that matter.
